The Beach 2012

Momma Lin and Daddy Don invited us to go to the beach in September.  We stayed at the Beach Club and were so glad Aunt Deb and Uncle Syd came, too.  Eva Brooke was sooooo excited (and so were we)!

First stop:  Original Oyster House

We just couldn't wait to get down to the water.  Eva Brooke loved playing in the sand and wave pool.

She also loved having so many playmates!  She was busy, busy.

She has talked about flying a kite at the beach for months.  Momma Lin and Daddy Don stopped and bought EB her very own.

The beach is so tiring!  No beach naps this trip, though.

After a little warming up to it, EB loves the ocean!

Another quick rest stop

Meanwhile, Momma Lin celebrated a birthday while on vacation.  Aunt Deb secretly decorated while Momma Lin and Daddy Don were out buying EB ice cream.  EB called the condo the "birthday house."

The reflection of the lit candles in the glass gave EB a fright, but we all enjoyed a yummy cupcake.

This girl is so attached!  She says, "that's my Momma Lin."  We are forever indebted to her for all she does for us!

Uniquely, our condo was on the west end in the westernmost building, and we had a spectacular sunset view every evening.

Hitting some of the Gulf Shores attractions and our favorite seafood joints...

Back at the beach.  She was occupied for hours just playing in the sand.

She and Aunt Deb built castles and dug holes.

My handsome hubby.  He does some professional beach gear setup.

One day, there was an influx of biting flies.  Never had experience with those before, but insect repellent does not repel them!  We were all miserable.

We went to the pools to try to escape the biting flies, but they were there, too.  The workers said this was the worst they had ever seen them!

They had us all wanting to scream.

Back from September 2011.  She is surely growing up, but I love watching every minute!
