February 2012

Pop celebrated a big birthday while we were in the moving-in process.  We pushed boxes out of the way to sing and eat a little cake!

Eva Brooke settled in to her new room quickly, and for that I am so thankful.

She made her nest right under the table, like at the old house.

I love that a clothes basket ride is every bit as good as the train ride at the mall.

She enjoyed looking at her blue tongue in the mirror.

She thinks it is fun to sit and eat on the "couch."

To my friends who are not, you HAVE to get on Pinterest.  It gets me motivated to do things I otherwise would not.  This is a recipe for White Chicken Enchiladas, and it was AMAZING... and amazingly easy.

She loves drinking bathwater.  I don't know why.  I'll say, "don't drink the," and she will finish, "bubbles."

Another Pinterest inspiration

Running around with her purse and "Hop-Hop," the bunny.

It is so fun to watch Eva Brooke and Hunter play together!

You can almost see the conversation!

A week after Pop, Daddy Don celebrated a birthday.  Momma Lin baked a delicious coconut cake.  Our families celebrate birthdays from September to March (only skipping October).

EB is all about that flashlight.  Cotton is again being very patient.

One day, we heard some commotion on the baby monitor during EB's naptime.  We found her a few minutes later like this.  She managed to stick her arm through the slats and get the barn from the floor into her bed.

On Valentine's Day, we bought Eva Brooke Lady and the Tramp.  The sweet girl thought the booklet inside the DVD was her gift, and she was thrilled.  I love how she reminds me that it's the little things in life :-)

Momma Lin got EB some butterfly wings.  She goes around saying, "fly-fly-fly."

Eva Brooke, Hunter, & Emily.  So cute!

Cotton joins in the fun this time.

EB's friend, "Rebel."

Enjoying the nice, warm February!

Eva Brooke has a POTTY!!  We'll be working on this a while...

Loves some "Melmo."

Came into the living room carrying my glass.  Got to watch things these days!

She has a thing for chocolate, like her Mama.

Taking care of her baby...

...but stealing a little sip from her bottle.

Eva Brooke stays in the pantry all.the.time.  This is ironic since we can hardly get her to eat more than 3 bites of anything.  If the door is left open, she will help herself!

My parents gave me a chair that was my great-grandparents' (on my Dad's side).  My mother did the hard part of sanding down all those years of paint.  I painted it to match my kitchen.

My mother helped me make the cushion.  I think it looks great, and I'm so proud of it!

The busy kiddos.

Riding in the Crosswhites' cool golf cart.

I made my Mamaw's biscuit cake for supper one night.  It is basically biscuits that you don't roll out, but put in an iron skillet like cornbread.  It tasted just like I remember, and I know she would be proud we are passing that recipe around today!

Modeling and showing Cotton her new shoes.  This girl's feet are growing fast!  Size 6!

The messes...they happen so fast.  But I wouldn't change a minute.

  1. Sweet pics! Love that our kids play in pj's all the time! I think EB and Hunter were having a big discussion as to whether those were cow or monkey pajamas....it's still up in the air! ;-) That pic of her and Cotton in the laundry basket is frameable, for sure! (Don't know if frameable is really a word.)
