Beach Vacation

On 5/4/11, we took off to the beach for our first Sweeney-family-of-3 vacation.  Eva Brooke was just shy of 9 months old.  Andrew decided to do the official conversion to big girl car seat just before leaving.  No more infant carrier seat :(  She really seems to love this new car seat (Santa brought it to her back in December).  P.S.  She does not like to keep her bows in her hair, which drives her Mommy crazy!

We rented a 1-bedroom condo at the Phoenix 3 in Orange Beach.  Very small, but clean and sufficient.  We learned that red wagons, pack-and-plays, strollers, and other baby gear take up a LOT of room.

Eva Brooke is starting to walk with help.

She loved being able to see outside.

Eva Brooke's first beach experience...

Quick pic of her feet in the sand.  This did not last very long.

A few pics of my babies...

It is hard to even remember life before this little bundle of joy.

Her first time seeing the ocean.

We had to hit up Sea & Suds on the first night!  I don't even want to know how many fried shrimp I ate on this trip!

5/5/11- Since our little bundle of joy gets up early, we went out for breakfast at Tacky Jacks!

Eva Brooke's first ride in the red wagon.

Getting ready for some sand and sun.  Our very-fair-skinned baby girl is completely covered in sunscreen...scalp to toe.

She enjoys shaking her bowl of puffs.

Since it was early May, the pool water was still cold!

The "kiddie" pool didn't take quite so long to heat up.  She loved splashing in the water!

Trying out her float.

At the beach, giving the sand a try.

She really liked the breeze... it put her right to sleep!

Our beach setup.  We even received compliments!  Thanks to Mamma Lin and Daddy Don for letting us borrow your umbrella!

As you can see, the sand went directly into her mouth.

Yawning :)

Trying the sand once again.

Still doesn't like it. :)

Wants it off her hands immediately.

Likes the ocean!

5/6/11-  Heading out for an early lunch at Bubba's Seafood

Beach time again!

EB's lunch on the beach.

The breeze puts her to sleep again!  We could get used to this!

We won't go back without the red wagon!

Playing with Daddy

Trying out the indoor pool on our last night.

Wrinkled little feet :)  Our beach vacation was about a week too short.  We hope to be back to continue this story soon!  So many wonderful memories!
