January 2013

We started off January 2013 with potty training.  Eva Brooke set up all her figurines to watch her sit on the potty.

Another first: Getting ready to visit preschool!

Eva Brooke's first day of preschool at First Presbyterian.  I just adore this picture!

Some snapshots from taking her into her classroom on her first day.

Eva  Brooke got to paint for the first time!  What a great way to start it off.

After picking Eva Brooke up, we met up for celebratory lunch at her favorite spot, McDonald's.  She was also very excited to spend the afternoon at home with Daddy Don.

The school drop off view!  She is so excited to get out, but she did cry around gym time for a little while.  Once we started sending EB's toy kitty Gilbert, she was just fine!

She has GREAT teachers, and we are SO happy with her school so far!

Celebrating another good day at school with some Starbucks whipped cream!  Mmmm!

Happy Birthday, Mimi!  Eva Brooke was more than happy to help her blow out the candles...

...and open her gifts!

EB showing Mimi the card she made for her.  Mimi is having an especially hard time right now caring for my Grandmother.  We love you sooo much!  Thank you for all you do!

Getting ready for Emily's 5th birthday party!

She had a fun and fabulous Peter Pan party!

This cracked me up...  If you can't read the sign, it says "Fairy Corner." :-)

Pinata time

We had a unusually warm January day.  The kids are loving sliding down the slimy wet hill at church!

Snapshots!  EB using her chopsticks.  She loves those Japanese shrimp.

Wearing her pretty dress from Mimi

Reading their favorite bedtime story, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.  These two are my world!

I was just laughing at EB's too-short size 3 pants!

I really love that EB's teachers post pics on a private facebook page for the mamas!

She has mastered the fall-in-the-floor fake crying...

...see?!

I know you can't tell at all, but it's snowing!

Snow in Tupelo!

Milkshake on a snow day you might ask?   I had promised a shake if she didn't cry at school!

During this time, Andrew and I in were in marathon training.  One of EB's babysitters, Hannah, sent this pic to me on my phone while we were running!  So sweet!

She has been working on her thumbs up!

Mimi sent this one to me...the girls loooovvves cool whip!

OK.  The picture doesn't do it justice.  We woke up one morning to no water.  After I realized our neighbors did NOT have the same problem, we started investigating.  It didn't take long to figure out we had a busted water line in the front yard.

We called an emergency plumbing company to come help.  After some digging to find the problem, they were able to repair the break.  We also had a horrendous $350-something water bill.  The sometimes yucky joys of home ownership...  A big thanks to the Crosswhites for letting Andrew come get ready for work ;-)

After a rough day with no water to shower/potty (with an accident-prone potty-trainer), I had just about had it.  I then went in and saw this.  Life is good... just not always easy.

Playdate at the mall!

Eva Brooke with Charlie.  The kids love watching the fluff spin at Build-A-Bear.

EB trying on shoes at the mall.  Love my girly girl!

EB's blackberry handprints on the wall!!!  Aaaahhhh!

EB revealing my finished changing table (thanks Mom!) from when I was little.  After a little paint and some glass knobs (thanks Momma Lin!), it is a perfect addition to our dining room!

A couple of final pics from school.  I think this one is sweet of the kids at story time.

The Deconstructed Snowman by Eva Brooke Sweeney.  This one made me laugh out loud!
