June 2012

22 months old:  Into books, baby dolls, Caillou, singing, playing church, ice cream, juice, pizza, and TALKING from sun-up to sun-down.

And also into putting stickers on everything...

...and make-up!

Just saw this at Hobby Lobby and had to share.  I didn't buy, but I'm sure Andrew could think of a place to put it.  :-)

We were sooooo ready for Andrew to get back from Honduras.

Thankfully, Daddy came home feeling good (unlike past visits) and was ready to see some Diet Coke!  We are so thankful for his safety and a successful mission trip.

EB "cooks" and loves for you to taste her food.

Here she is with Daddy's Bible, leading singing like Pop :-)

Playdate turned lunchdate with the Crosswhites.  Thanks for the pizza and fun!

EB girl is also into her stuffed "kitty-cat" and her other stuffed creatures.

We are visiting the pool often during this HOT HOT summer!

An early birthday present...her first wheels!  She could hardly wait for Daddy to put it together.

It just means the world to see her eyes light up!  She is very proud and calls it "Brooke's car."

After a MAJOR FIT (that I caught on video!  Yes!), we persuaded her to come in from driving and eat some lasagna (another of her faves).

After supper, she and Daddy figured out that water sprayer attachment!

Complete with a Dollar Tree fire hat, she is one cool firefighting girl.

During the hot summer nights, Cotton just can't do much walking.  EB enjoys their together-time more so than Cotton :-)

This girl makes me laugh.  How wonderful she is!  Disciplining, however, is a problem.  She just mocks me and spanks her own hand.   Oh yes, I'm in trouble.

First popsicle

Just pretending!  Don't call the cops!

Aunt Beth came to play

Another fave: milkshakes.  We can do some good bribing with shakes.

Playing in the pink pool.  Just love these classic EB faces.

She enjoys playing in the mud.  She said she was giving Cotton water to drink.

Then gets back in that nasty pool water!

Loving her new baby stroller

So excited our friends can just "stop by."  We are loving our new house!

0.5 seconds later.  Can't remember what crazy thing we did to get their attention (above), but cameras have to be quick to catch these kids.

My dining room table!!!  Oh, how I've waited on you to arrive since February.  After mucho delivery drama with a stranded 18-wheeler, leaving the furniture at our church, and help from good friends, we finally got it all home.  And, did I mention it is scratched?  With my Wade Loden bargaining skills, the company and I came to an agreement.  I ended up keeping the table...and got a nice check in the mail!  Now for that refinishing part...

The girl LOVES ice cream.  If you try to sneak and eat your ice cream, she will find you.  I believe she can smell it.

Back at the pool.  She likes playing in the shower water as much as the pool.

One day, EB decided she was going to drink her cereal milk just like Mommy...and she did it!

Likes to eat her pool snacks in the wagon.

Back in the shower

Taste-testing Mommy's dessert for my uncle Danny's annual Fourth of July party (on June 29th)

Don't even think of giving her creamed corn, but she surely liked that fresh, home-grown corn-on-the-cob!

We had a lot of fun at the party and loved seeing family and friends.  The food was pretty awesome, too!

Pop took us all for a spin on his new cool ride!

After the party, this. girl. was. tired.

Barely made it in the door!

On a nice Saturday run, I found this at a neighborhood yard sale.  It is in rough shape, but EB hasn't noticed.  She would tell me, "thank you much!"

I love family Saturdays.  There's just nothing better!

Eva Brooke and Hunter from June 2011.  I came across this pic today while uploading.  It makes tears come to my eyes!  So, so blessed...
