Celebrating with Family

On Friday, July 1, my uncle Danny had his annual Independence Day cookout.  We think this was his 10th or 11th year, and a lot of the community turns out for food (lots of fresh veggies) and fellowship.  We were late (as always) but glad we got to visit with friends and family.  What I am not proud of, however, are the lack of pictures!  I took zero.  So unlike me!  I think I was enjoying the babysitters, and I went into do-nothing mode.

[nope, not a single picture to put here]

We went over on July 2 to Dwain and Diane's for a nice Independence Day party complete with grilled goodness and wonderful company.  We were so glad to finally meet Liffey Grace and visit with Andrew's side of the family.  Syd, Deb, Daddy Don, Mamma Lin were gone on a long vacation to Las Vegas/Grand Canyon/Yellowstone (you know they don't miss a party).  Eva Brooke got her first taste of homemade ice cream and tea cakes, and I might have tasted them, too (yum!).

Eva Brooke loved taking Mommaw walking

Love this picture!

Meet beautiful Liffey Grace!  She really takes it in and seems to be a very good baby.  She didn't even seem to mind being passed around and all the kid-noise.

What beautiful babies!

Up until this point, Eva Brooke wasn't too consistent with her walking.  She watched Dublin's every move and decided she wanted to walk, too!  Dublin is about 11 months older than Eva Brooke.  We were so excited they played so well together!

Family gatherings will no longer be calm...not that they were anyway, AUNT DEB :)

Here is a video of our Eva Brooke starting to walk that day!
