What a Difference a Month Makes!

Eva Brooke turned 5 months old in January.  At this age, something different is happening every week!  During January, Eva Brooke cut her first two teeth, started veggies, tried fruits, learned to sit alone, and can scoot backward on her hands and knees.  Slow down, babe!

January 2- Home from church...NOW she's in a good mood!

January 5- She's quite flexible

January 6- Wearing her first bluejeans

She still loves that swaddle blanket, but can usually find a way to get those hands out.  You never know what position she will be in the bed when you find her.

January 7- She loves her exersaucer (and so does Mommy and Daddy)!

Wearing her dress from Mimi and Pop

The Crosswhites came over for gumbo before the BIG SNOW!  Emily is quite content watching her Cinderella movie.

Of course, Cotton thinks everyone came to see her.

The guys playing Mario on the Wii

Hunter and Eva Brooke are already the best of friends

Trying out her doorway jumper for the first time

January 12- Going to eat Mexican for Emily's 3rd birthday

January 14- Eva Brooke is now VERY interested in her sister.  She grabs a handful of fur at every opportunity.

Andrew made us LOBSTER that evening.  Yes, he came home with live, moving lobsters in a sack.  I do not think this is what he intended to do, but he figured it out.  I have to say, this what somewhat disturbing to us both, but they were DELICIOUS!

January 15- at Emily's amazing Enchanted Forest birthday party.  She told me, "Snow White is here!"

Ronnie even dressed up as one of the seven dwarfs.  This may be hard to beat, Big Daddy!

Eva Brooke even got the first swing at the pinata.

We had a great time, and I believe Emily did too.  Can't believe she is 3 years old!

That evening, Eva Brooke tried her first vegetable, sweet potatoes!

January 20

January 21- She loves getting tickled!

Not the neatest eater, but someone is a big fan of carrots!

Eva Brooke, we will give you some more!  You don't have to lick the tray!

January 23- We had our late Christmas get-together with my dad's side of the family in Phil Campbell, Alabama.  Eva Brooke is sitting with my beautiful cousin Morgan.

With our twin cousins, Jacob and Joshua

They are just precious little boys!  Both had decided it was too warm to wear their shirts :)

With our cousin Heather, who is Jacob and Joshua's mom.  We hate Andrew didn't get to go with us, but he woke up with the stomach bug that day...yuck!  We took Andrew some gatorade, and said, "see you later!"

January 24- She loves my camera and my phone.  She has also just started reaching for us to get her (sometimes).

We usually watch Wheel of Fortune after the news at 6, and Eva Brooke is really becoming a Pat Sajak fan.

Didn't really care for peas at first (and neither do we), but she is liking them better these days.

January 26- Andrew cannot stand this picture, but I just had to include.  Perfect timing!

Starting to get up on her hands and knees

All dressed up for church.  After we got home, Eva Brooke unattached one side of her diaper. Who is teaching her all these things??

January 27

Trying to pull Cotton's hair.  Right after this picture, she escaped the Bumbo seat!  What are we going to do with this girl?!
January 28-  Playing with my girls

January 28- Mimi and Eva Brooke back at home after a YUMMY meal at Romie's.

Silly Daddy!

Still intrigued by the silver shoes...

January 29- Can scoot on her hands and knees...backward!

Eva Brooke flipped over on her changing table, which is even contoured on the sides.

We've been making her a pallet on the floor in her room to play, which she loves.

How Mommy gets things done around the house :)

Tired baby...

January 31- Scooted as far backward as she could go.  Her legs are even underneath the bumper!
