A Little (Late) July Update

7/1/11- Just being a mess!  The girl loves to eat!

 

Food favorites- Fruit (strawberries, peaches, bananas, mandarin oranges, watermelon), crackers, yogurt, and yogurt melts.

7/3/11- COVERED in avocado

Welcoming back Momma Lyn and Daddy Don from their long vacation out west

One more burst of energy before we leave!

7/7/11- Emptying the diaper bag.  One of her favorite things to do.

7/9/11- Chef Andrew's delish seafood trio he prepared for dinner.  I am one lucky girl!

7/10/11- Somebody's very sleepy!  She is attached to her pillow Mrs. Potter (Angie's grandmother) handmade for her.

The pillow is all lumpy now, and we take it everywhere (if she will be sleeping/napping).  She loves to put her face next to a cold pillow (like her Mommy!).

7/11/11- This girl beats all I've ever seen.  She loves to be outside and usually throws a fit to go outside after Cotton.

7/13/11- EB loves her "Da"

7/15/11- Post-it note fun

7/17/11- What can we say?  She gets it honestly!

7/18/11- Playing peek-a-boo in the crib.  Notice the 2 pacifiers in the floor (she throws them out).

She likes to carry things around the house.

7/21/11- She likes pulling lots of things out of the toy basket before deciding on one.  She still loves looking at books and especially turning the pages.

Shhh.  She likes to get under the table to "do her business."

7/23/11- Fun new game Mimi and EB started.

Playdates

7/11/11- Hunter and Eva Brooke playing while their mommies enjoy a yummy Chik-Fil-A breakfast.

7/14/11- Fun at the Spring Lake neighborhood pool with Angie, Emily (3 1/2 years), and Hunter (10 months).  Eva Brooke (11 months) was a big fan of Emily's float.  The kiddie pool is just right for the kids to splash around and play.

Enjoying a little snack break.  Eva Brooke loved Emily's oyster crackers, and Emily was so kind to share.  We're so glad these 3 play so well together.

8/19/11- EB's first trip to the awesome mall playground.  Angie and I seem to love spur-of-the-moment playdates.

Afterward we got to go on a train ride through the mall!  What a fun day!

Happy Fourth of July!

After the party (see last post) and a good nap, we headed over to Brad and Angie's casa to continue the fun.  You can see the little future lovebirds playing in the yard...

Yes, she's a little taller than him now, but he will catch up soon enough.

After eating our burgers, we headed down to Angie and Brad's neighborhood lake.  This was Eva Brooke's first fishing experience.

It started raining and Eva Brooke was a little scared of the umbrella...

So, we had some fun in the back of Angie's Expedition.

Angie and Brad have a great place to watch the Tupelo Ballard Park fireworks right in their front yard.  We waited...and waited...and waited on the fireworks to start.  I'm still not sure what the big delay was.  The kiddos were nice and tired and in such great moods, as you can see.

Welcome Home and Happy (Belated) Birthday, Kenzie

The morning of July 4, we joined Jennifer, Kenzie, Katie, and Kirksey for the annual Highland Circle Fourth of July Parade in Tupelo

Getting to meet Kenzie for the first time.  Ashley and Jennifer (hereafter known as "Kenzie's parents") have been in Boston since last summer for a geriatrics fellowship.  They moved to Boston just days after Kenzie was born.  They threw this party at their gorgeous new house TWO days after arriving in Tupelo.  Can you say, wow?!

Visiting Mama Dean

On June 19, Eva Brooke went to visit Mama Dean (Daddy Don's mother) in Booneville.

We're so glad Mama Dean is feeling better (and she is looking great!)

This was actually Father's Day.  Eva Brooke wanted to make Daddy Don's day special, too.  Andrew was returning from Honduras this day.
